Ver 0.1.2 Patch Notes


Updated version of the game uploaded, a few bug fixes and a couple gameplay adjustments. All suggestions will be reviewed, any feedback is much appreciated as it gives a guiding path to make the game feel better and play better. 

Patch Notes:

Found ground where player couldn't jump. Collider tag adjusted and works as intended.

Created "restart" button in pause menu to reload the level.

Boss level finished and working.

Player and moving platforms issue resolved and working as intended.

Minor changes to jump pad values.

Jump pad now has SFX.

Boss enemy has dedicated defeat noise.

Adjusted player movement script to allow interpolation when not contacting with platforms, this solves the issue where the player would rapidly vibrate when running into a wall, while keeping the smooth movement while riding on top of the platform.

Found that when disconnecting or reconnecting a gamepad controller while standing within the range of an interaction device (i.e. a door or a switch), the indicators above the player's head for the disconnected device would still display. Issue resolved and now works as intended.

Playtest reveals it is difficult to understand what is required of the player to continue. Written decals added to the wall to better instruct the player.

Quickened pace of respawn and screen fade.

Added ghost player to help learn how to wall jump.

Added light shadows to ground objects.

Added SFX for pause menu.

Known Bugs: 

When interacting with the master volume slider in the options menu (main menu only), slider decreases continuously without input when adjusted with the mouse. But resumes correct and intended action when using the arrow or WASD keys to adjust value instead. Bug only reproduceable in standalone game not editor.
